Research Interests:
Dr. Weeks is a psychiatrist whose research focuses on economic and business aspects of health care, patient safety and quality improvement. He has worked to identify financial incentives that may influence choices having to do with career paths, prioritization of quality improvement efforts, and patient safety efforts. Dr. Weeks spends much of his time as an administrator of VA programs, including the VA Quality Scholars Program, the Veterans' Rural Health Initiative, and the Field Site of VA's National Center for Patient Safety.
