Frank S. Drescher, MD

Assistant Professor of Medicine, Dartmouth Medical School
Acting Chief of Pulmonary Medicine, White River Junction Veterans Affairs Medical Center

Research Interests

Dr. Drescher is a pulmonologist and critical care physician whose research focuses on the utilization of diagnostic imaging studies in patients with pulmonary embolism. In his research he has addressed the downstream effects of increased diagnostic testing (CT scanning) on detection and outcomes of pulmonary embolism. This had led him to develop interest in clinical decision support systems for the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism. Currently Dr. Drescher is exploring the application of medical informatics to database and implementation research in diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary embolism.
